Phantom of the Opera set to perform this month

Theatre Company's Phantom of the Opera

This month, the Theatre Company will perform four public performances of Phantom of the Opera. Students have been working this semester to prepare their production of the popular Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. Phantom of the Opera is the story of a masked figure who lurks in the catacombs below the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who work in it. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command. The production features sensational songs, including Think of Me, Angel of Music, Music of the Night, All I Ask of You, Masquerade and the title song Phantom of the Opera.

The Theatre Company will perform Phantom of the Opera with preshow selections from Disney's Frozen on November 20, 21 and 22. The preshow evening performances will begin at 6:45 p.m. at the L.J. Williams Theater in downtown Visalia. A matinee show beginning at 1:45 p.m. will also be offered on Saturday, November 22. Tickets are available at two Visalia locations: Tulare County Office of Education, 2637 W. Burrel Ave.; and Educational Resource Services, 7000 Doe Ave., Suite A. General admission tickets are $10 per person; reserved seating is $20 per person. Tickets will also be available at the theater box office prior to each performance.
