TCOE programs prepare for graduations
Dozens of students from Tulare County Office of Education programs are preparing for graduation this month, or in early June. "We look forward to celebrating with students and families this important milestone," says Tulare County Superintendent of Schools Jim Vidak. "This is also a time to celebrate the teachers, staff and administrators at our La Sierra Military Academy, University Preparatory High School, Court/Community Schools, and our Special Services programs who helped prepare students for success as adults."
In addition to seniors at La Sierra Military Academy, University Preparatory High School, and Court/Community Schools, students in Special Services programs for the severely handicapped and those in the Community Based Instruction (CBI) classes will graduate. For the past five years, these 21-year-old students have been gaining skills that will help them prepare for adult life, including - for some - vocational skills that will be useful in finding employment.
