Since 2015, Tulare County Office of Education has partnered with KSEE24 to highlight Tulare County kids of character. Segments of Your Character Matters air on Tuesdays at 3:00 p.m. on the Central Valley Today show, and then again during KSEE24's 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. newscasts and the following morning on their 5:00 a.m. show. TCOE's CHARACTER COUNTS! office searches for exemplary students and assists in developing their inspiring stories for these weekly segments.

On Wednesday, May 15, KSEE24 and the TCOE CHARACTER COUNTS! office hosted a celebration of the students featured in the 28 Your Character Matters stories aired by the station during the 2018-2019 school year. Emceed by Central Valley Today host Stefanie Bainum, the event featured video clips of the 28 stories.
