Planetarium welcomes public to summer evening shows June 14 and 28

Planetarium & Science Center public shows

Planetarium & Science Center staff welcomes the public to enjoy family evening shows on Friday, June 14 and Friday, June 28. On June 14, Perfect Little Planet will be shown at 6:00 p.m. and again at 7:00 p.m. On June 28, From Earth to the Universe will be presented at 6:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Perfect Little Planet
Discover our solar system through a new set of eyes – a family from another star system seeking the perfect vacation spot. Fly over the surface of Pluto, dive over the ice cliffs of Miranda, sail through the rings of Saturn, feel the lightning storms at Jupiter, and walk on the surface of Mars. This is the solar system journey for space travelers of all ages.

From Earth to the Universe
The night sky, both beautiful and mysterious, has been the subject of campfire stories, ancient myths and inspiration for as long as there have been people on Earth. A desire to comprehend the Universe may well be humanity’s oldest shared intellectual experience. Yet only recently have we truly begun to grasp our place in the vast cosmos. To learn about this journey of celestial discovery, from the theories of the ancient Greek astronomers to today’s grandest telescopes, we invite you to experience From Earth to the Universe.

The Planetarium & Science Center is located at 11535 Avenue 264 in Visalia, on the southwest corner of Mooney Boulevard and Avenue 264. Tickets are available at the Planetarium office only after 5:00 p.m. on the day of the show. Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for children 11 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No late seating is offered once the planetarium doors close.
