Summer Institute June13, 2023

Summer is a great time for administrators to relax, recharge, and plan for the new year.  Before you leave for some much-needed rest and relaxation, don’t miss the annual Summer Institute for Tulare County school administrators. Attendees will be treated to a delicious breakfast, ACSA recognition, special keynote address by Elizabeth Huntley, and raffle prizes.

Keynote Speaker
Elizabeth “Liz” Huntley is an accomplished litigation attorney, dedicated child advocate, author and lecturer. Liz is the president and co-founder of the Hope Institute, an organization in Alabama that helps schools build a culture of character for their students. She practices law at Lightfoot, Franklin & White, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. Liz regularly speaks to groups throughout the U.S., often referencing her own journey as described in her published memoir titled, More Than A Bird. Liz earned her law degree from the University Of Alabama School Of Law where she now serves on the Law School Foundation Board of Governors. She is also a member of the Auburn University Board of Trustees, where she received her undergraduate degree.

$40 per person

The cost is $40 per person.  Make check/purchase order payable to: Tulare County Superintendent of Schools.  Please mail checks to Tulare County Superintendent of Schools, Attn: Summer Institute, P.O. Box 5091, Visalia, CA 93278.  Purchase orders may be mailed to this address, emailed to marlenem@tcoe.org or uploaded to your online registration.  Budget transfer payments accepted for TCOE staff. No refunds will be given to no-shows.  Cancellation requests must be made by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 in order to receive a refund.   Final deadline to register is Tuesday, June 6.
