On Sunday, November 17, ABC30 will air its latest Children First special entitled “Cash for College.” The special will feature interviews with Tulare County students who participated in two events coordinated by the Tulare County Office of Education – College Night and Trades Day.
Throughout the special, the stories will offer viewers ways to tap into local scholarships, apply for FAFSA in order to receive financial aid, and access internships and other income-earning opportunities to help navigate through college with less pressure.

On November 6, TCOE’s CHARACTER COUNTS! Program held its annual Kids of Character Provident/Salierno Family Foundation Awards. The event honored 30 of the top students or student groups featured during the 29th Annual Tulare County CHARACTER COUNTS! Week (October 21-27).
Each honoree received a certificate, a t-shirt, a CHARACTER COUNTS! yard sign, and a scholarship provided by long-time character education supporters, the Provident/Salierno Family Foundation.
