CHOICES After School Program (CASP) is designed to engage children intellectually, creatively, physically, and socially — through fun activities, academic support, STEM and creative expression, team sports and performances, and meaningful relationships with caring adults.
Every school day, from the time the school bell rings until 6:00 p.m., each CASP student receives a nutritious meal, help with their homework, and the opportunity to participate in a wide array of enrichment activities.
In addition, social-emotional learning — which helps students gain confidence, show empathy, and develop positive relationships — is at the core of every CASP activity.
Funded through an After School Education and Safety (ASES) grant awarded by the state of California Department of Education, the program serves an average of 2,500 students each day at 35 school sites in Tulare County.
For more information about the CHOICES After School Program, contact Danny Santana, CASP Director.
