Trades Day introduces high school students to industry career opportunities in construction, design, sub-contracting, heavy equipment, engineering, and other skilled trades.
Our partners from the trades, industry, training and post-secondary programs, and more, will join together to inspire local students. Many bring hands-on activities for students to explore their industry, teaching students skills such as hammering, cement mixing, roofing, and welding. This unique opportunity showcases the rewarding and exciting nature of different career pathways.
We hope you – our partners from the trades, industry, training and post-secondary programs, and others – will join us to inspire local students to pursue careers in building and construction-related trades. Bring a hands-on activity for students to explore all your industry has to offer. Teach them how to swing a hammer, try their hand at mixing cement, scale a wall for roofing, or throw on some PPE and get them welding. Anything to get their hands and minds moving!

Schools, youth groups and individual students are invited to register for a two-hour block starting from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
