The Athlete of Character Award honors student-athletes who consistently demonstrate strong character and uphold positive values, based on the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

Nominations can be submitted below, with two winners selected per school. There is no limit to the number of nominations per school. The nomination deadline is April 11, 2025, and the recipients will be recognized at our end-of-year athletics banquet on May 20, 2025.

Qualifying Student-Athletes:                                                                                                                              

• Be a 2024-2025 student-athlete at a Tulare County High School                                                     
• Possess a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
• Exhibit exceptional sportsmanship and leadership
• Demonstrate the Six Pillars of Character
