As part of the Human Resources Department, the credentials staff provides credential services including: credentials requirements based on guidelines/requirements of the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, evaluation of applications and registration of credentials. The credentials staff also provides certificated testing information (CBEST, CTEL, CSET), issues Temporary County Certificates, maintains a county substitute teacher list, processes applications for certification through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, monitors and provides districts with expiring credential reports, and conducts payroll credential audits. Another important function is directing and managing the monitoring of certificated assignments for all school districts in Tulare County.
