Statewide Residency Technical Assistance Center (SRTAC)

In 2023, California launched the Statewide Residency Technical Assistance Center (SRTAC) in an effort to support the scaling up and sustainability of educator residency programs across the state. The statewide center is a partnership between five county offices of education; Humboldt County Office of Education, Sacramento County Office of Education, Santa Clara County Office of Education [lead agency], Tulare County Office of Education, San Diego County Office of Education - and the Residency Lab, West Ed, and the UCLA Teacher Prep Program.

This initiative is funded by a grant from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) - with each regional hub having an appointed lead as the facilitator to streamline technical assistance supports and thought partnership for those interested in learning more about residencies, whether it’s launching a new residency program or for established programs seeking thought partnership in building capacity or the scaling up of residencies.

Adriana Cervantes-González, Ed.D., serves as the Central Region Hub lead - please feel free to reach out to her at: acgonzalez@tcoe.org to connect and learn about upcoming events, activities and technical assistance.
