RESET is a job readiness and work entry program for adults with the goal of reducing recidivism through career services. Seeing a need to offer the same program to young adults, Tulare County Probation added a Return 2 Youth (R2Y) component, with a focus on justice-involved youth ages 16-24. The R2Y program provides young adults on probation with the resources necessary to attain a high school diploma or equivalent, enter post-secondary education, and attain skills that lead to a career pathway and sustainable long-term employment. It also offers a paid work experience for 160-240 hours.
The program is a collaborative effort between Tulare County Probation, the Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County, and SEE.
If you or someone you know is on probation and interested in this life-changing program, please contact the Tulare County Probation Department for a referral, or call (559) 788-1417 for information on how to get started.
