LSMA's Military Programs use an applied leadership concept which empowers cadets to use their academic achievement and training in leadership, physical fitness and character development, to execute and support the mission of the Academy. The Academy utilizes a highly organized chain of command of officers and non-commissioned officers to engage and command the daily activities at the Academy.
Community Service is an essential part of the cadet's daily program. Networking and building community relations is necessary for successful preparation of college and career readiness. Cadets are required to perform 42 hours each year.
Athletics are an important part of a cadet's education. Cadets compete in sports via intramural, and small schools league. LSMA participates in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and air rifle marksmanship.
