What is a community school?
"A community school is any school serving pre-Kindergarten through high school students using a “whole-child” approach, with “an integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement.” As a school improvement strategy, community school initiatives enable the local education agency (LEA) and school to work closely with educators, students, and families to understand and address the unique needs, assets, and aspirations of the school community."
Vision
The TCOE Community Schools Team envisions a future where the school is the hub of its community, practicing collaborative leadership through family and community engagement, caring for the whole-person, and co-creating meaningful learning opportunities.
Mission
The TCOE Community Schools Team mission is to grow and empower school and district teams to co-create community schools. This is achieved by communicating with care, building trusting relationships, and providing quality support.

2024-2025 Annual Reporting
The CCSPP reporting window is now open! The Annual Progress Reports (APRs) serve as a tools for assessing implementation efforts and fostering reflection as part of a continuous improvement process. The APRs should be developed by each CCSPP shared decision-making team or council to ensure active participation from students, staff, families, and community partners. This collaborative process encourages teams to reflect on achievements and identify areas for growth.
